Russia's hybrid military forces on Friday mounted seven attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as wounded in action.
"One Ukrainian soldier was wounded on Friday. Each enemy provocation had an adequate response. According to intelligence reports, two occupiers were killed and another 12 were wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on May 18, 2019.
Russian occupation forces opened fire from 122mm artillery systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms. Under attack were Ukrainian positions near the villages of Pavlopil, Novotroyitske, Hnutove, Zolote-4, Novhorodske, and Krymske.
"From midnight on Saturday, Russia-led forces attacked Ukrainian positions three times near Krymske, using 120mm and 82mm mortars grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms. Two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded [on Saturday]," the report said.
