"You know that we traditionally do not comment on any personnel rumors," Peskov told journalists, answering a question about Surkov's resignation, according to the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
To the journalists' clarifying question whether these words mean there was no decree on resignation, Peskov said: "So far, we have not issued any decrees."
Reports that Surkov wrote a letter of resignation were spread on Telegram channels on May 24.
