Russia's hybrid military forces in the past 24 hours mounted 16 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with three Ukrainian soldiers reported as killed in action and another three as wounded in action.

"Two members of the Joint Forces were killed and another three were wounded amid shelling [on Tuesday]. Each enemy attack had an adequate response. According to intelligence reports, one occupier was killed and another one was wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on June 5, 2019.

Russian occupation forces opened fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars, weapons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, anti-tank missile systems, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and sniper and small arms. Under attack were Ukrainian positions near the town of Avdiyivka, as well as near the villages of Opytne, Novoselivka Druha, Talakivka, Chermalyk, Pavlopil, Pisky, Vodiane, Krymske, Novoluhanske, Zolote-4, and Stanytsia Luhanska.

"From midnight on Wednesday, Russia-led forces attacked Ukrainian positions four times near the villages of Talakivka, Vodiane, and Zolote-1, using tripod-mounted man-portable antitank guns, heavy machine guns, and sniper and small arms. One Ukrainian solider was killed [on Wednesday]. Information on the enemy losses is being verified," the report said.
