Russia's hybrid military forces on Tuesday mounted 11 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with five Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA).

"Five servicemen of the Joint Forces were wounded amid shelling [on Tuesday]. Each enemy attack saw an adequate response. Information about enemy losses is being verified," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on June 19, 2019.

Russian occupation forces opened fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms. Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the towns of Avdiyivka and Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Verkhniotoretske, Pisky, Vodiane, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Travneve, and Troyitske.

"From midnight on Wednesday, Russia-led forces attacked Ukrainian positions three times near the town of Maryinka, and the villages of Novotroyitske and Lebedynske, using grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns and small arms. One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another one was wounded [on Wednesday]," the report said.
