Donbas war update: Soldier killed as Russian-backed forces violate ceasefire 24 times in past day

The enemy opened fire on the Ukrainian military from grenade launchers of various types, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms, the report says.

In the area of ​​responsibility of the Skhid [East] operational-tactical group, the enemy 14 times fired at the Joint Forces' positions: in the area of Novotroyitske – from grenade launchers of various types; twice in Lebedynske – from automatic grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms; in Maryinka – from small arms; twice in Pisky – from grenade launchers of various types, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms; four times in the outskirts of Vodiane – from grenade launchers of various types and small arms; in Pavlopil – from automatic grenade launchers; twice in Bohdanivka – from automatic grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms; and in the vicinity of Hnutove – from man-portable anti-tank grenade launchers.

In the area of ​​responsibility of the Pivnich [North] operational-tactical grouping, Ukrainian positions were fired upon 10 times: in Novozvanivka area – from automatic grenade launchers; near Luhanske – from automatic grenade launchers; in Zaitseve – from an anti-tank grenade launcher and large-caliber machine gun; in Popasna – from grenade launchers of different types and large-caliber machine guns; twice in Krymske – from grenade launchers of various types, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms; in Svitlodarsk – from a man-portable anti-tank grenade launcher and a large-caliber machine gun; twice near Novotoshkivske – from grenade launchers of various types, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms; and near Yuzhne – from grenade launchers of various types and large-caliber machine guns.

Over the past day, one Ukrainian military was killed in actions, one was wounded and another one sustained a combat injury.

Each enemy shelling saw an adequate response on the part of Joint Forces which used weapons that are not banned by the Minsk agreements.

According to intelligence data, on June 19, one occupier was killed and one was wounded.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on June 18, militants violated the ceasefire regime 11 times, including four times with the use of 120 mm and 82 mm mortars proscribed by Minsk accords.
