Even after start of disengagement, Donbas invaders shell Ukraine troops using banned weapons
From day-start on Thursday, Russian occupation forces in Donbas 18 times violated the ceasefire.
One Ukrainian soldier was reported as wounded in action, according to the press center of the Joint Forces Operation.
As noted, Russian occupation forces shelled Ukrainian positions using 152 mm and 122 mm artillery, which is proscribed by the Minsk agreements, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, as well as various grenade launchers, weapons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, as well as heavy machine guns and small arms.
In the area of responsibility of the Skhid [East] operational-tactical grouping, the enemy fired at the positions of the Joint Forces seven times, and in the area of responsibility of the Pivnich [North] grouping, 11 attacks were recorded.
Ukrainian units delivered an adequate response to the shelling by the Russian occupation forces, the report says.
Enemy losses are being verified, the press center added.
