Russia's hybrid military forces on July 5 mounted 28 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, with six Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action.

"Six Ukrainian soldiers were wounded on Friday. Each enemy provocation saw an adequate response. According to intelligence reports, two occupiers were killed and another three were wounded," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on July 6, 2019.

Russian occupation forces opened fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars, weapons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and sniper and small arms.

Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the towns Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, Avdiyivka, and Svitlodarsk, and the villages of Vodiane, Bohdanivka, Novotroyitske, Mykolaivka, Shyrokyne, Novoselivka Druha, Novohnativka, Pavlopil, Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Novoluhanske, Zolote-4, and Travneve.

"From midnight on Saturday, Russia-led forces attacked Ukrainian positions twice near the villages of Shyrokyne and Khutir Vilniy, using 82mm mortars and small arms. There were no casualties among the Ukrainian military [on Saturday]," the report said.
