Russia's hybrid military forces on Tuesday mounted 27 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with nine Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded.

"Five Ukrainian serviceman were wounded in action and four sustained combat-related injuries amid enemy shelling," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on July 10, 2019.

Russia-led forces used proscribed weapons – 122mm artillery systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars – in 11 instances. They also opened fire from grenade launchers of various systems, cannons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, heavy machine guns, and rifles.

Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the town of Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Shyrokyne, Lomakyne, Vodiane, Novomykhailivka, Pisky, Novotroyitske, Pyshchevyk, Chermalyk, Travneve, Novoluhanske, Zaitseve, and Novhorodske.

Each enemy attack saw an adequate response. The Ukrainian armed forces used weapons that are not banned under the Minsk agreements.

According to intelligence reports, three enemy troops were killed and another three were wounded.

"From Wednesday midnight, Russia-led forces have attacked Ukrainian positions five times near the town of Maryinka, and the villages of Krymske, Prychepylivka, and Novotoshkivske, using 122mm artillery systems, and 120mm and 82mm mortars. There have been no Ukrainian military casualties [on Wednesday]," the report said.
