Russia-led forces don't attack Ukrainian positions in Donbas on Monday
Russia-led forces did not mount attacks on Ukrainian positions on Monday, July 29, Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation Headquarters has said.
"Since the beginning of the day, attacks on the Joint Forces' positions haven't been recorded," the JFO HQ said on Facebook in an evening update on July 29.
On the previous day, July 28, Ukraine's armed forces were abiding by the ceasefire. However, enemy troops violated the ceasefire and shelled the Maryinka checkpoint, using a large-caliber machine gun, it said.
The latest, so-called "harvest" ceasefire, which was agreed by the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk on July 17, became effective at midnight on July 21.
It has become the 20th ceasefire agreed since the beginning of war in Donbas in 2014.
