Russia's hybrid military forces on July 31 mounted 11 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.
"Proscribed weapons – 82mm mortars – were used in four instances," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Headquarters said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on August 1, 2019.
Enemy forces also opened fire from grenade launchers of various systems, cannons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, a heavy machine gun, and rifles.
Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the villages of Pisky, Vodiane, Lebedynske, Shyrokyne, Bohdanivka, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Novohnativka, and Zolote-4.
"The Ukrainian Army reported no casualties over the past day," the JFO HQ said.
"From Thursday midnight, Russia-led forces have twice opened fire on Ukrainian positions near Pavlopil and the town of Popasna, using a heavy machine gun, an automatic grenade launcher, and small arms. There were no Ukrainian military casualties [on Thursday]," the report said.
Joint Forces reliably control the enemy along the contact line, while adhering to the ceasefire, the HQ reported.
