Russia's hybrid military forces on Wednesday mounted 10 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.

"The armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the [recently introduced] indefinite ban on the use of weapons 10 times on August 7," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on August 8, 2019.

Russian occupation forces opened fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and sniper, and small arms. Under attack were Ukrainian positions near the villages of Vodiane, Lebedynske, Novotroyitske, Luhanske, Pivdenne, Novozvanivka, Zaitseve, and Krymske.

According to the update, there were no casualties among the Ukrainian military on Wednesday.

From Thursday midnight, Russia-led forces have attacked Ukrainian positions twice near the villages of Bohdanivka and Vodiane. They used a tripod-mounted man-portable anti-tank gun and rifles.

"The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy along the contact line, while adhering to the ceasefire," the report said.
