The Security Service of Ukraine says 223 persons are being held illegally by Russia-led forces in the occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

According to the SBU's Joint Center for the coordination of search and release of persons illegally held in the occupied areas of Donbas, another 258 persons are reported missing, Radio Liberty reports.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova, stated that Ukraine seeks the release of 126 Ukrainians held in detention facilities across Russia and in the occupied Crimea.
