The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) has reported small-arms fire was directed at an SMM mini-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) near the village of Novoselivka in Donbas.

"On August 7, positioned about 3.5km north of Novoselivka (non-government-controlled, 50km south-west of Luhansk), while conducting a mini-UAV flight, the SMM heard three shots of small-arms fire about 350m south-east, assessed as aimed at the UAV, which was flying about 200m south of its position," the OSCE SMM said in its August 8 update based on information received as of 19:30 Kyiv time on August 7, 2019.

"The SMM safely landed the UAV and left the area," reads the report.
