Another Ukrainian soldier killed in Donbas as Russia-controlled forces open fire in breach of truce
Over the past day, August 14, one Ukrainian military serviceman was killed in the Donbas warzone as Russian-occupation forces opened fire at the Ukrainian positions in breach of the latest ceasefire agreement.
The Ukrainian side reported 13 enemy attacks over the past day, including two episodes where weapons proscribed by the Minsk agreements were used, namely 120 mm and 82 mm mortars.
Also, the enemy fired at the positions of the Joint Forces using grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms, the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters reported.
The attacks were reported recorded near Pisky, Lebedynske, Hnutove, Vodiane, Mykolayivka, Pivdenne, Novoluhanske, Zaitseve, and Khutir Vilnyi.
From day-start on Thursday, Aug 15, no enemy attacks were recorded.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the latest ceasefire agreement was enforced in Donbas on July 21.
The JFO HQ emphasized that the Ukrainian military would "adequately respond" to enemy shelling in case of violation of the ceasefire by the invaders.
