Russian occupation forces eight times violated the ceasefire in the Donbas warzone over the past day, Aug 17, according to the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters.

No losses have been reported among the Ukrainian troops.

According to the morning report of the JFO HQ, the enemy fired at the Ukrainian positions using grenade launchers of various types and small arms.

From day-start on Sunday, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions twice.

As UNIAN reported earlier, from 00:01 on July 21, a "silence regime" was established in the zone of the Joint Forces Operation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.

The JFO Headquarters emphasized that the Ukrainian units would adequately respond "to enemy shelling in case of violation of the ceasefire."
