The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has reported that over 38,000 people crossed the border at entry/exit checkpoints with Russian-occupied Donbas within 24 hours.

As of the morning of August 20, there were 30/50 vehicles at the Mayorsk checkpoint, 0/60 vehicles at the Maryinka checkpoint, 30/50 vehicles at the Novotroyitske checkpoint, and 20/20 vehicles at the Hnutove checkpoint.
At the same time, the traffic flow remained intense, as 38,200 people and 4,600 vehicles crossed the checkpoints over the period under review, namely:
9,030 people and 1,155 vehicles were reported at the Mayorsk checkpoint;
8,105 people and 1,375 vehicles at the Maryinka checkpoint;
7,205 people and 1,230 vehicles at the Novotroyitske checkpoint;
3,865 people and 840 vehicles at the Hnutove checkpoint; and
10,020 people at the Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint.
