Russia's hybrid military forces on Wednesday mounted 14 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.

"The armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire 14 times on August 28," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on August 29, 2019.

The enemy opened fire from proscribed 120mm and 82mm mortars, cannons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms. Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the villages of Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Vodiane, Shyrokyne, Novoluhanske, Zaitseve, Novotoshkivske, Pivdenne, and Mayorsk.

It is noted at 12:25 Kyiv time, the enemy fired at civilian infrastructure in the area of the Horlivka – Bakhmut humanitarian road corridor, which posed a threat to the civilian population and personnel located at the Mayorsk entry and exit checkpoint.

According to the update, there were no casualties among the Ukrainian military in the past day.

From Thursday midnight, Russia-led forces attacked Ukrainian positions three times near the town of Maryinka and the villages of Zaitseve and Pivdenne, using cannons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms.
