Russia's hybrid military forces on September 2 mounted 15 attacks on Ukrainian Army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action (KIA) and another one as wounded in action (WIA).

"The armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire 15 times on September 2. One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another one was wounded as a result of enemy shelling," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Headquarters said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on September 2.

The enemy opened fire from proscribed 122mm artillery systems, 120mm and 82mm mortars, cannons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms. Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the town of Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Vodiane, Hranitne, Lebedynske, Novomykhailivka, Talakivka, Novotroyitske, Hnutove, Novotoshkivske, Novozvanivka, and Khutir Vilniy.

"From Tuesday midnight, Russia-led forces have opened fire on Ukrainian positions twice near the village of Pavlopil, using automatic grenade launchers and heavy machine guns," the report said.
