On Thursday, Sept 5, Russian occupation forces in Donbas opened fire at the positions of the Joint Forces of Ukraine, including with the use of 122 mm artillery and 120 mm mortars.
This was announced on Facebook by the United Forces Press Center.
"Throughout the day, Russian armed groups and its mercenaries violated ceasefire eight times. The enemy fired at the positions of the Joint Forces using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements. Also, they opened fire from an anti-tank grenade launcher, heavy machine guns, and small arms," the evening summary says.
In the zone of operations of Pivnich [North] operational-tactical group, the enemy fired at the Ukrainian military near Zaitseve from 122 mm artillery systems, 120 mm mortars, heavy machine guns and small arms. Near Pivdenne, they opened fire from 122 mm artillery systems and 120 mm mortars, heavy machine guns, and small arms, while in the area of Zolote – from a heavy anti-tank grenade launcher.

In the area of responsibility of the Skhid [East] operational-tactical grouping, the enemy five times shelled positions of the Joint Forces near Talakivka, Novohnativka, Lebedynske, and twice near Vodiane.
No losses have been reported in Ukraine Army ranks.
