Six Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in action in shelling by Russia-led forces in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, on Friday, September 13.

"Six members of the Joint Forces have received wounds of varying severity in enemy shelling today," the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Headquarters said in an evening update on Facebook on September 13.

The enemy mounted 11 attacks on Ukrainian positions during the day, using proscribed weapons, namely 82mm mortars. Russia-led forces also opened fire from grenade launchers of various systems, small arms, and sniper rifles.

Eight attacks were reported in the Skhid (East) sector. In particular, JFO positions near the village of Novotroyitske were shelled three times. Under attack were also the towns of Maryinka and Avdiyivka, as well as the villages of Talakivka, Opytne, and Verkhniotoretske.

There were three attacks in the Pivnich (North) sector: near the villages of Zaitseve, Mayorsk, and Novhorodske.
