Donbas warzone update: Enemy shells Ukraine forces using banned weapons
Over the past day, Sept 14, Russian occupation forces 14 times violated the ceasefire. The enemy fired on the positions of Ukraine's Joint Forces, using weapons proscribed by the Minsk Agreements.
Namely, 120mm and 82mm mortars were applied, according to the Joint Forces Operation HQ press center.
Also, Ukrainian forces were fired upon from grenade launchers of various types and small arms.
In the area of responsibility of the Skhid [East] Grouping, the enemy nine times shelled positions of the Joint Forces:
Twice near Novotroyitse, using grenade launchers of various types and small arms;
Three times near Vodiane - from hand anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms;
Near Kamianka – from an easel anti-tank grenade launcher;
Near Bohdanivka - from an easel anti-tank grenade launcher and small arms; and
Near Lebedynske and Opytne – from small arms.
In the zone of responsibility of the Pivnich [North] Grouping, the enemy opened fire five times:
Near Novoluhanske – from a 120mm mortar;
Near Novotoshkivske – from 120mm and 82 mm mortars, as well as from an easel anti-tank grenade launcher;
In the area of Pivdenne – twice, from grenade launchers of various types and small arms; and
Near Hladosove – from a 82mm mortar.
Over the past day, no losses were reported among Ukrainian troops.
From day-start on Sunday, Sept 15, Russian occupation forces four times violated the ceasefire.
In the area of responsibility of the Skhid Grouping, the enemy fired at Ukrainian positions two times: using grenade launchers of various types and small arms near Avdiyivka and an automatic grenade launcher near Novohnativka.
In the Pivnich Grouping zone of operations, the enemy also opened fire on two occations – both times using 82mm mortars – near Zaitseve and near Novoluhanske.
