Russia's hybrid military forces on September 24 mounted 23 attacks on Ukrainian Army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action (KIA) and another one as wounded in action (WIA).

"The armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire 23 times on September 24. One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another one was wounded as a result of enemy shelling," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation Headquarters said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on Sept 25.

The enemy opened fire from proscribed 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, and sniper and small arms. Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the towns of Maryinka and Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Hnutove, Novoselivka Druha, Pavlopil, Vodiane, Pyshchevyk, Travneve, Luhanske, Krymske, Zaitseve, Novoluhanske, and Troyitske.

"From Wednesday midnight, Russia-led forces have opened fire on Ukrainian positions four times near Maryinka, Travneve and Novoluhanske, using 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various types, and sniper and small arms," the report said.
