Russian-led forces have mounted 23 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas since Friday midnight, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as wounded in action.

"The enemy fired on the positions of Joint Forces units, using 82mm mortars that are proscribed under the Minsk agreements, as well as cannons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various systems, and small arms," the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said on Facebook in an evening update on Friday, October 4.

Fifteen of the attacks were reported in the Skhid (East) sector: near the town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Vodiane (four attacks), Pavlopil, Novohnativka, Novotroyitske (two attacks each), Lebedynske, Bohdanivka, Vodiane, and Verkhniotoretske.

Another eight attacks were reported in the Pivnich (North) sector outside the villages of Novoluhanske, Myronivske, Luhanske (two attacks each), as well as near Zaitseve and Krymske.

"The units of the Joint Forces adhere to the ceasefire and are ready for any insidious and provocative actions of the enemy," reads the report.
