Russia's hybrid military forces on Tuesday mounted 17 attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.

"The armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire 17 times on October 8," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in a Facebook update as of 07:00 Kyiv time on October 9, 2019.

The enemy opened fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, and small arms.

Under attack were Ukrainian positions near the town of Svitlodarsk, and the villages of Pisky, Opytne, Novotroyitske, Vodiane, Novohryhorivka, Pyshchevyk, Pavlopil, Travneve, Novoluhanske, Luhanske, and Khutir Vilny.

According to the update, there were no casualties among the Ukrainian military in the past day.

"From Wednesday midnight, Russia-led forces attacked Ukrainian positions five times near the villages of Pisky, Lebedynske, Pyshchevyk, Mykolaivka, and Novohnativka, using an 82mm mortar, grenade launchers of various types, and rifles," the update said.
