Russia-led forces attacked Ukrainian troops 21 times on October 26, the day when President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was visiting the village of Zolote-4 in Donbas.
The enemy fired on Ukrainian positions, using banned 120mm and 82mm mortars, as well as grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns, and other types of small arms, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Headquarters said on Facebook in a morning update as of 07:00 Kyiv time on October 27.
In the area of Zolote-4, enemy troops opened fire from heavy machine guns and small rifles.
From 00:00 to 07:00 Kyiv time on October 27, Russia-led forces violated the ceasefire in the east of Ukraine three times.
No Ukrainian army casualties have been reported over the period under review.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Zelensky on Saturday, October 26, visited Zolote-4, where he met with military volunteers of the National Corps and veterans of the Azov regiment, who have been there since early October because they are against the disengagement of forces and weapons in the area. They told the president they were not going to leave Zolote and would not allow the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops.
