From midnight to 1800 Kyiv time on Friday, pro-Russian militants violated the ceasefire 29 times, the ATO press center reported on Facebook.

"With the start of a new day, Ukrainian troops near the village of Opytne in Donetsk region faced new attacks with the use of grenade launchers and small arms. Then, the criminals started shelling from 122mm-caliber artillery systems and 120mm-caliber mortars and heavy machine guns," the report said.

The enemy forces were also firing on the Ukrainian positions near the villages of Pisky (close to the Donetsk airport) and Shyrokyne (not far from the Ukrainian-held city of Mariupol) and the town of Mayorsk from mortars, grenade launchers and small arms. Not far from the town of Avdiyivka, they twice used 122mm-caliber artillery systems and heavy machine guns.

"In Luhansk region, the criminals three times fired on our positions near the town of Schastia from automatic grenade launchers. What was more, illegal armed formations opened fire from automatic grenade launchers, small arms, an anti-tank missile system and machine guns on our positions near the villages of Sokilnyky and Triokhizbenka," the report said.

Also during this period, Ukrainian units spotted two militant drones flying towards the town of Avdiyivka.
