Russia-led forces in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, used proscribed weapons to attack Ukrainian troops on Saturday, November 23.
"The enemy opened fire from 82mm mortars, which are banned under the Minsk agreements, as well as from grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns, rifles, to shell Joint Forces' positions," the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Headquarters said on Facebook in a morning update on November 24.
There were eight enemy attacks over the period under review, it said.
Under attack were JFO positions near the villages of Pivdenne, Pisky, Vodiane, Verkhniotoretske.
No Ukrainian army casualties have been recorded.
On November 24, Russia-led forces used large-caliber machine guns to shell Ukrainian positions near the village of Taramchuk, Maryanka district, Donetsk region. The barrage lasted for over 30 minutes. No Ukrainian casualties have been reported.
