Russian-led forces engaged the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Starohnativka in Donbas, using automatic grenade launchers.

"This morning, Russian armed groups fired at our positions near the village of Starohnativka, using automatic grenade launchers. The shelling came from the village of Petrivske. This settlement is located in close proximity to disengagement site No. 3 (Bohdanivka)," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation wrote on Facebook.

The press center believes that in this way, "Russian occupiers, trying to provoke fire on the eve of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk meeting, are aiming to accuse our country of violating Minsk accords."

"This once again underscores the insidious acts by Russian occupying forces and attempts to discredit Ukraine before the international community," the press center said.

The Joint Forces did not return fire, the report stresses.
