Militants clash with Ukrainian army near Novomykhailivka
Russian-backed militants in the Donbas attacked Ukrainian army positions near the city of Donetsk from 1800 last night, Ukraine’s Anti-Terrorist Operation press service reported on Facebook page on Monday.
According to the report, this time the militants focused their shelling in the area of Donetsk. They fired mortars, rocket-propelled grenades and heavy machine guns on the villages of Pisky and Opytne, and the town of Avdiivka. There was also a military clash near the village of Novomykhailivka.
In the direction of Artemivsk, the militants fired guns on the village of Leninske.
In the areas of Luhansk and Mariupol, the night was calm. The last militant attacks took place there at about 1900 on Sunday.
"During this period, the Ukrainian army recorded reconnaissance overflights by enemy drones in the directions of Triokhizbenka-Slavianoserbsk, Myronivskiy-Troitske, Myronivskiy-Popasna, Novoaidar-Severodonetsk, Raihorodok-Shastya, Donetskiy-Slavianoserbsk," the ATO headquarters said.
