Ukraine reports four enemy attacks in Donbas on Jan 2
Russia's hybrid military forces on Thursday mounted four attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.
"The armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire four times on January 2," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation said in a Facebook update as of 07:00 Kyiv time on January 3, 2019.
The enemy opened fire from grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and small arms near the villages of Novotroyitske, Mykolaivka, Orikhove, and Novoluhanske.
There were no Ukrainian army casualties in the past day.
"Since Friday midnight, Russia-led forces have attacked Ukrainian positions once near Novoluhanske, using grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and rifles," the update said.
