Eight Ukrainian soldiers wounded in Donbas conflict zone in last day
No Ukrainian soldiers have been killed but eight were injured in the Donbas conflict zone over the last 24 hours, presidential administration speaker for ATO issues Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
"Over the last day, we haven’t lost any Ukrainian soldiers, but eight were injured as a result of military clashes," Lysenko said.
Widespread fighting continues along the front line in eastern Ukraine. On Monday night-Tuesday morning, residents in the Donetsk area reported some of the heaviest fighting since February, when Russian-backed militants, in violation of the Minsk peace agreement, attacked and captured the town of Debaltseve.
