Russia's hybrid military forces have already shelled Ukrainian positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, since Monday midnight.

"Since [Monday] midnight, Russia's occupation forces used grenade launchers of various types and heavy machine guns to attack defenders of the village of Pisky in the Skhid (East) sector," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Headquarters said on Facebook in a morning update on January 27.

No Ukrainian army casualties registered on Monday have been reported yet.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Russia's hybrid military forces on January 26 mounted 12 attacks on Ukraine army positions in Donbas, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action and another one as wounded in action; in addition, one was killed and another one was injured in a booby-trap blast.

The enemy opened fire from proscribed 120mm and 82mm mortars, cannons installed on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns, and rifles.

Under attack were Ukrainian positions near the town of Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Lebedynske, Starohnativka, Novohryhorivka, Hnutove, Orikhove, Novotoshkivske, Krymske, and Bohdanivka.
