Militants fire on settlements along front line
Russian-backed militants in the Donbas fired 122mm artillery, mortars, rocket-propelled grenades and small arms on the village of Shyrokyne from Tuesday evening until Wednesday morning, the press service of the Anti-Terrorist Operation reported on its Facebook page on Wednesday.
"In the area of Luhansk, the militants fired machine guns and small arms on the towns of Zolote, Frunze and Shastya. They also fired 120mm artillery on the village of Stanytsia Luhanska," the report says.
In the direction of Artemivsk, the militants fired 120mm artillery and small arms on the villages of Lozove and Kirove. They also fired 120mm mortars on the town of Svіtlodarsk. In addition, they fired 152mm artillery on the village of Kurdiumivka.
The militants were most active in the area of Donetsk. They fired banned mortars and artillery, as well as heavy machine guns on the villages of Opytne, the mine of Butivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Marinka, Pisky, Nevelske, Kamianka, Novotroitske, Krasnohorivka, and Berezove.
In addition, the militants fired grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, small arms and shells from a tank on the village of Pisky.
"In general, more than half of the attacks the militants carried out in the last day were in the area of Donetsk," the press center said.
"During this period, the Ukrainian army recorded 27 reconnaissance overflights by enemy drones," the ATO headquarters said.
