Russian-led forces have shelled residential areas in the town of Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region, employing 120mm mortars.
"Today, March 2, Russian armed groups once again deliberately resorted to aggravation on the contact line, deliberately violating all existing ceasefire agreements," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation Headquarters wrote on Facebook.
Russian invaders deliberately shelled Krasnohorivka. The enemy fired at residential buildings, using 120mm mortars, realizing that the shelling poses a threat to the life and health of civilians.
As a result of a mine explosion outside one of the houses, windows were shattered. One person was injured by shrapnel. He was promptly provided medical assistance.
"Such impudent actions of the Russian occupiers once again testify to their interest in further escalation of conflict in the east of Ukraine," the JFO HQ said.
To suppress enemy fire and prevent further armed provocations, the JFO's units employed available weapons and delivered an adequate response. The enemy losses are being specified.
The JFO's command says not a single act of aggression will be left without a proper response.
