Two Ukrainian soldiers killed, two wounded in shootout with saboteurs near Triokhizbenka
Two Ukrainian soldiers have been killed and another two injured during a firefight against saboteurs near the village of Triokhizbenka, the press service of Governor of Luhansk Region Hennadiy Moskal said on Tuesday.
According to the report, a number of settlements were hit by militant shelling. Military clashes with the enemy saboteurs took place in several areas.
"A military clash between the Ukrainian troops and a sabotage and reconnaissance group of militants who penetrated into territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities from the right bank of the Siverskiy Donets River took place near the village of Kriakivka. Unfortunately, two Ukrainian soldiers were killed and another two were seriously injured as a result of the fight," the press-service said.
It is reported that the wounded soldiers are in hospital now.
"The night and morning in the villages of Kriakivka and Triokhizbenka passed without attacks," the report reads.
According to the press service, on Monday, during the day and night, the militants conducted active military actions almost along the whole demarcation line in Luhansk region.
