Russia's hybrid military forces on March 8 mounted six attacks on Ukrainian Army positions in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action (KIA) and another six as wounded in action (WIA).

"The armed forces of the Russian Federation violated the ceasefire six times on March 8 … Russian invaders engaged a military truck of one of the units of the Joint Forces in Donbas with an anti-tank guided missile. The truck was hit as it was driving toward the positions of Ukrainian troops. As a result of the hit by an anti-tank guided missile, one JFO soldier was killed, two more were wounded, and another one sustained an injury. In addition, three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded as a result of enemy shelling," the press center of Ukraine's Joint Forces Operation Headquarters said in an update posted on Facebook as of 07:00 Kyiv time on March 9.

The enemy used proscribed 82mm mortars, as well as grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms to attack Ukrainian troops.

Under attack came Ukrainian positions near the town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Opytne, Verkhniotoretske, and Khutir Vilny.

The enemy did not attack Ukrainian positions from 00:00 to 07:00 Kyiv time on March 9.

No casualties were reported among Ukrainian troops on Monday so far.
