ATO: Militants attack Ukrainian troops and settlements 85 times overnight
Russian-backed militants in the Donbas attacked Ukrainian army positions and civilian areas 85 times from Sunday evening to Monday morning, the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation said on its Facebook page on Monday.
According to the report, the epicenter of the attacks was in the area of Donetsk, where the militants attacked Ukrainian army positions and residential areas 52 times.
After midnight, the militants fired rocket-propelled grenades on the village of Krymske and the town of Zolote in Luhansk region. Near the town of Artemivsk, they fired mortars on the village of Bohuslavske. Enemy snipers were working in the town of Maryinka, the press center said.
"At dawn the militants fired 20 Grad rockets on the village of Nyzhnie. In general, the militants had already attacked the positions of the Ukrainian army about 10 times by morning," the report reads.
