One Ukrainian soldier died of wounds, another two were hospitalized after enemy attacks in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, between 00:00 and 19:00 Kyiv time on Monday, April 20.

"Armed formations of the Russian Federation opened fire three times to attack Joint Forces' positions today," the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Headquarters said in an evening update on Facebook on April 20.

Two facts of the violation of the ceasefire were recorded in the Pivnich (North) sector, where enemy troops used hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and rifles to fire at Ukrainian units near the village of Pivdenne. What is more, an enemy sniper was working near the village of Novo-Oleksandrivka.

The third attack was recorded near the town of Marynika in the Skhid (East) sector, where Russia-led forces used hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and rifles.

"Two members of the Joint Forces were wounded as a result of Russian invaders' criminal actions. The soldiers received necessary medical assistance and were evacuated to a hospital. Another Ukrainian defender received injuries not compatible with life," it said.

The JFO HQ noted that the Joint Forces fired back to stop the attacks, enemy losses are not known yet.

The situation at the first three disengagement sites in Donbas is stable, the sides are observing the ceasefire there, it said.

No coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Ukraine's Joint Forces, the headquarters said.
