ATO Headquarters: Sartana attacked from militant-controlled villages
The shelling of the village of Sartana near the strategic government-controlled port city of Mariupol was carried out by the Russian military and pro-Russian militants from the villages of Sakhanka and Kominternove, deputy commander of the sector "M" ATO headquarters Valeriy Vodolazkiy said on Monday, Mariupol's city online news resource 0629 has reported.
According to Vodolazkiy, the militants fired 152mm self-propelled artillery and 120mm mortars. Exploded shells are scattered across the village.
"At the moment, the whole village has been checked. There are no [discovered] unexploded shells," Mariupol’s Mayor Yuriy Khotlubey said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, at least two people were killed and another six injured, including a baby, after the shelling of the village.
