Two Ukrainian soldiers killed in Donbas in last day
Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) zone in eastern Ukraine over the past day, according to the Ukrainian Presidential Administration.
"Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed in hostilities over the past day. It happened near Mayorske. None of the Ukrainian soldiers was wounded during the last 24 hours," Presidential Administration's Press Secretary on ATO issues Oleksandr Motuzianyk told.
According to Motuzianyk, one of the victims – the Ukrainian soldier – received numerous shrapnel wounds as a result of militant shelling from a grenade launcher, the second victim – the police captain – was killed when trying to protect a car with civilians from the militant shelling.
