Militants repeatedly fire grenade launchers on Troyitske
Donbas militants continued to repeatedly fire grenade launchers on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the village of Troyitske in Donetsk region in the past day, according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO).
All in all, the combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 24 times in the past 24 hours, the ATO press center wrote on Facebook early on Wednesday.
The militants were again using small arms, rocket-propelled grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.
The armed provocations against the Ukrainian troops were staged near the villages of Pisky, Opytne, southwards of the town of Avdiyivka, as well as near the villages of Novhorodske, Zaitseve and Mayorsk.
The situation was not calm in Luhansk region as well. The enemy fired automatic mounted grenade launchers on ATO forces near the villages of Krymske and Triokhizbenka.
From midnight on January 13, the pro-Russian militants have once again fired small arms and grenade launchers toward Novhorodske, and large-caliber machine guns southward of Avdiyivka.
