"The Russian-backed militants shell the Ukrainian positions from mortars with increased intensity. Over the last 24 hours, the enemy used this type of weapons 20 times," the report says.
The enemy used mortars against the Ukrainian fortified positions in the town of Krasnohorivka, the villages of Pisky, Talakivka, Mayorsk, and Zaitseve. They fired 120mm mortars in Zaitseve and Krasnohorivka.
"The occupiers fired grenade launchers and small arms on our fortified positions in the villages of Novotroyitske, Opytne, Pisky, the towns of Maryinka and Avdiyivka, as well as Butivka coal mine," the press center said.

There was an engagement with enemy forces reported near the village of Hnutove in the Mariupol sector. The militants fired mortars and small arms there.
"The situation remained tense in the village of Shyrokyne where the enemy fired small arms on our positions. Here, and in some other areas, our soldiers had to return fire," the report reads.
