Militants incur heavy losses near Mariupol – staff
Military clashes between the Ukrainian military and the enemy sabotage groups occurred in the Mariupol direction resulting in 30 pro-Russian militants being killed, according to the presidential administration’s speaker for the Anti-Terrorist Operation, Andriy Lysenko, who spoke at a briefing Saturday.
According to Lysenko, the enemy mortared the Ukrainian troops several times in various parts of the front in the Mariupol direction - Starohnativka, Chermalyk and Shyrokine (more than 80 mines were launched).
"In this area at night, there has been a combat encounter between the ATO forces and the enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group. As a result of the concerted action of the Ukrainian troops from different types of forces, the enemy suffered heavy losses in this battle – up to 30 KIAs. Unfortunately, during combat clashes with the occupation forces, two servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed," said Lysenko.

In general there have been seven episodes of ceasefire violations by the Russian-backed militants in the past day.
