Lysenko reported that the first of the detainees was on duty at the militant checkpoint in 2014, serving as a guard in the occupied town of Debaltseve. The second was a member of the DPR terrorist organization and checked people who passed through the enemy's checkpoint in the town of Toretsk. The third detainee joined the illegal "Great Don Army" in 2014, standing guard at the militant recruitment station in the town of Pervomaisk.
