In particular, the Donetsk sector was shelled 21 times, the Mariupol sector 15 times and the Luhansk sector 10 times, the ATO HQ reported.

"In the Donetsk sector, the enemy fired 152mm and 122mm artillery systems on our positions in the town of Avdiyivka. The militants fired mortars of various calibers, rocket-propelled grenades and heavy machine-guns on the Ukrainian fortified positions in the villages of Novoselivka Druha and Luhanske. They also lobbed 82mm mortar shells into the village of Verkhniotoretske and the town of Svitlodarsk. What is more, the enemy used infantry fighting vehicles near the villages of Maiorsk and Luhanske. A sniper was active in Verkhniotoretske," the report says.

Grenade launchers were used to shell the town of Popasna and small arms were fired on the village of Novozvanivka and Novo-Oleksandrivka. Close to midnight, the enemy opened unsighted fire from a 122mm artillery system near the village of Toshkivka.

"Militant attempts to conduct aerial reconnaissance were recorded twice in the last day," the press center added.
