"According to earlier reports, two servicemen of a mechanized brigade located near the village of Novoluhanske in Donetsk region were killed in a booby-trap blast while performing their duty," the ATO HQ said in an earlier report on Monday.

In total, there were 22 attacks by Russia's hybrid military forces on Ukrainian positions in eastern Ukraine from 00:00 to 18:00 local time on March 27, it said in an evening update.

Ukrainian marines deployed near the village of Pavlopil in the Mariupol sector were under 82mm mortar fire. Large-caliber machine-guns were used to fire at Ukrainian troops near the villages of Vodiane, Novohryhorivka, and Hnutove. The Ukrainian army's positions outside the village of Shyrokyne were under sniper fire, the ATO HQ said.
