Armored personnel carriers, anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns were used to shell the defenders of the village of Pavlopil. Additionally, the defenders of the village of Shyrokyne came under fire from infantry fighting vehicles, while the Ukrainian Marines near the villages of Hnutove and Talakivka were attacked with small arms.
