"In total, the illegal armed formations violated the ceasefire 17 times. ATO forces fired back 10 times," the ATO HQ said.
Attacks on Ukrainian troops in the Donetsk sector intensified by the end of the day on July 17, it said.
"From 19:00 to almost 23:00 local time, our strongholds near the town of Avdiyivka were attacked from various directions; the enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms," the ATO HQ said.

"What is more, our positions near the village of Pisky came under mortar and grenade fire. Small arms were used to fire on the Butivka coal mine," the ATO HQ said.
The enemy in the Luhansk sector opened fire on Ukrainian positions in the village of Novozvanivka three times and in the village of Novo-Oleksandrivka twice. Small arms were used to fire on the village of Stanytsia Luhanska at about 23:00 local time.
Banned 120mm mortars and grenade launchers were used to shell ATO forces in the village of Lebedynske in the Mariupol sector.
