Ukraine army repels militant group near Triokhizbenka

Russia's hybrid military forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in Donbas 27 times in the past 24 hours, with three Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA), according to the press service of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.

In the Luhansk sector, the enemy opened fire from small arms and heavy machine guns on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the villages of Donetskiy, Malynove, Katerynivka, Novozvanivka and Stanytsia Luhanska.

At about 21:00 Kyiv time, a group of militants made an attempt to approach the Ukrainian positions near the village of Triokhizbenka. The Ukrainian military spotted and engaged the militant group from small arms, forcing the enemy to retreat.

In the Mariupol sector, Russian occupation forces used grenade launchers against the Ukrainian fortified positions near the town of Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Lebedynske, Novotroyitske and Shyrokyne. Two of the Ukrainian servicemen were injured as a result of militant shelling from small arms near the village of Bohdanivka. Additionally, at about 23:00 Kyiv time, the occupiers used 120mm and 82mm mortars on Krasnohorivka.

In the Donetsk sector, the Ukrainian fortified positions near the town of Avdiyivka and Butivka coal mine came under mortar and grenade launcher fire. In addition, at 21:00 Kyiv time, the militants started firing grenade launchers on the Ukrainian positions near the town of Svitlodarsk. One Ukrainian soldier was wounded as a result of shelling, the press service said.
