Militants shell Ukraine forces 21 times in last day – ATO HQ
Russian-occupation forces after 18:00 on Thursday, August 3, have somewhat intensified fire on Ukrainian positions in Donbas, mostly from small arms, the press center of the ATO Headquarters wrote on Facebook.
The most aggressive provocations were reported on the Donetsk line where the enemy for almost two hours shelled the Ukrainian defenders of Butivka coal mine from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and IFV-installed weapons. Strong points on the southern outskirts of Avdiyivka and outside the village of Luhanske were shelled from rocket-propelled grenade launchers twice.
In the Luhansk direction in the evening, the armed gangs used small arms and grenade launchers outside Novo-oleksandrivka, Stanytsia Luhanska, and Novotoshkivske.

"It should be added that over the past day, the ATO forces returned fire in response to almost every provocative shelling by the militants, forcing the enemy to ‘peace,’ so most of the fire contacts were not long ones," the press service said.
In general, over the past day, illegal armed groups violated the truce 21 times. Three times the enemy used mortars, 14 times - grenade launchers, and one time they hit from IFV-installed arms.
As reported earlier, a 70-year-old civilian man was killed in a militant shelling in Luhansk region.
